What to know before you buy.

A box trailer is a mobile lock-up. Tools stay dry, stock stays unseen, and the day starts with the kit ready instead of being unloaded from the back of a van every morning. We sell box trailers with proper insulation, security-rated locks and barn doors that close square after years of slamming.

What to look for

  • Bonded GRP or aluminium body - not painted ply
  • Side door access with a real five-lever or insurance-rated lock
  • Internal lashing rails and cargo loops
  • Internal LED lighting wired off the trailer plug
  • Roof load rating if you're stacking on top

  • Are box trailers waterproof?
    A bonded GRP or aluminium box trailer with sealed door rubbers will keep out UK weather indefinitely. We avoid painted-ply box trailers for serious working use - the sealing fails after a couple of seasons.
  • How secure is a box trailer for tools?
    A box trailer with insurance-rated locks (five-lever deadlock minimum, ideally Sold Secure rated) and a hitch lock is significantly more secure than a van overnight. We also recommend a tracker for site-based use.
  • What sizes of box trailer do you sell?
    Single-axle 7x4 and 8x4 box trailers for tools and small kit, twin-axle 10x5 and 10x6 for stock, market kit and event use. Custom sizes are available on order.
  • Can a box trailer be insulated?
    Yes - we sell insulated box trailers for sensitive cargo (artwork, instruments, climate-sensitive stock) and they are also a popular base for catering and food trailer conversions.
